Goldilocks
We read Goldilocks and the Three Bears this week. The children had to put the pictures in order and label using ordinal numbers then tell what happened in each picture. The children did a great job and are really coming along with their writing.

Addition
We started working on addition sentences last week. Children were put in pairs and given snowman with buttons and had to roll a dice as a number generator and add the numbers using buttons then write the numbers on their sheet. They also had horses with a horse corral doing the same activity the next day.

Groundhog Challenge
We have started a Groundhog challenge to test if the myth of the groundhog is correct. We will be collecting weather data for the next six weeks and talking to other schools from other states to discuss their weather to see if we are going to have six more weeks of winter. Stay tuned to see what we find out.
We have named our groundhog Hoggy. Our weather for the first week was mostly cloudy and rainy the average temperature was 40.

100th day of school
Today we celebrated our 100th day of school and did a lot of fun activities. Here are a few things we have done this week.
1. 100 Day rally in the gym. We sung a song for the school.
2. Made crowns.
3. Necklaces out of fruit loops.
4. Drew a picture of what we would look like when we are 100 years old.
5. Collections of 100 objects.
There are also pictures of the children reading their guided reading books.
