Egg experiment

We went to the science lab this week and did an experiment with hard boiled eggs. The children measured how much the egg weighed, what size it was and how much space it took up when put in a cup of water.

M&M graph

The children were given m&m's and had to record how many they had, which color they had the most of, make a pattern and make a graph on the back of the page. They also graphed their favorite color m&m's.

Texas Graph

We studied all about Texas this week.
We read Armadilly Chili and ate chili and corn bread on Thursday and graphed weather we like them or not. The children really liked the chili and even wanted seconds.

We dressed liked cowboys and cowgirls.

The children did addition and subtraction sentences using horses and corrals.

They also made a cowboy glyph.

St. Patrick's poem

The children made a leprechaun to go with the poem we read all week.

St. Patrick's Math

We used gold coins to represent numbers 15-20. The children also picked a number out of a bag and had to represent their number using coins then talk to their neighbor to see who had more or less or the same. At the end of the week they did addition and subtraction sentences.

Dr. Seuss

Today we did a lot of fun Dr. Seuss activities.

We had new centers today. We had to find words in "The Cat in the Hat Came Back".

We dressed in black and white and wore our hats today.

First we painted hats to wear to the PAW pride rally.
